Dear BPS Parents and Guardians:

Please see attached information regarding the administration of the upcoming assessments for students in grades 3-8 and grade 11.   Scholars in the Bristol Public Schools will participate in the following state assessments: 

• Grades 3- 8: Smarter Balanced Assessment in English Language Arts and Math. 

• Grades 5, 8, & 11: Next Generation Science Standards Assessment.

• Please note that students receiving special education services may be eligible to engage in alternative assessments. This decision is made by the child’s Planning and Placement Team. If you have questions regarding this, please contact your child’s special education teacher.
