Good Morning South Side -

I hope you had a fantastic weekend and are ready for our last full week of learning.  As a reminder, we have a lot of fun and engaging learning taking place so it is important that we maintain strong attendance habits for our last 8 days of school.  Here is some important information for you regarding our week ahead.

Thanks to our spirit committee for planning this week's spirt week.  There is already a lot of tropical gear visible in the building for today's Hawaiian day.  Please remember, you don't have to purchase anything to participate in any of our spirit day activities.

Our PTA is working incredibly hard planning our first every Summer Bash.  We hope YOU will be able to join us for a fun afternoon this Thursday. There will be food trucks for families and staff to purchase food and other fun activities.

Friday is going to be a very busy day at South Side as we have our 5th grade awards celebration at 9:30 and our Kindergarten celebration at 11:30.  If you are a 5th grade or Kindergarten family, please know that there will be limited parking so get here early to have plenty of time to secure a great seat.  All 5th grade and Kindergarten families are invited to participate in their respective event.

Lastly, thanks to all of our family volunteers for making Friday's 5th grade night a success.  Each year our 5th Grade committee plans and hosts an end-of-year celebration to recognize the accomplishments of our 5th graders.  Our kids and families had a great time and all of the hard work was appreciated.

Have a great week -
David Huber
