 CELEBRATING AMERICA 250 in BRISTOL! 
Looking for the perfect way to kick off the summer and honor our nation’s historic 250th birthday? Bring the whole family out to the Federal Hill Green on June 14th from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM for an unforgettable afternoon of history, food, and community fun!
Here is a sneak peek at what’s in store:
⚔️ History Comes Alive: Watch the Ye Olde Lebanon Towne Militia perform Revolutionary War drilling, rifle volleys, and give you a glimpse into what life was like in a Revolutionary War encampment! 🚚 Food Trucks: Grab some delicious bites for the whole family. 🎨 Local Organizations: Interactive activities, games, and exploration for both kids and adults. 🎸 Live Music: Catch a special performance by The First Connecticut State Troubadour from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. 🥧 Pie Contest: Think you bake the best pie in town? Show off your best apple or cherry pie! 🍨 Ice Cream Social Fundraiser: Cool down with a sweet treat benefiting the Bristol Brass & Wind Ensemble.
🎵 STAY FOR THE CONCERT! 🎵 The fun doesn't stop at 4:00! Head over to Prospect Methodist Church (on Center & Summer Streets) at 5:00 PM for a spectacular follow-up concert by the Bristol Brass & Wind Ensemble.

🧸 Teddy Bear Clinic: Kids, don't forget to bring your favorite teddy bears or stuffed animals along for a free "check-up" at the mini-ambulance!
📚 Authors Corner: Come meet and support some amazing local authors.
🚚 Food Trucks: Yummy eats will be available to keep the whole crew fueled up!
🫧 And so much more! (Did someone say foam party and bounce zones? 👀)

3D Printing Class for students in Grades 5-8 at Tunxis Community College, July 20-24 from 8 am-12 pm.

📢 Community Information Session: Public Safety Informational Forum
Parents, caregivers, educators, and community members are invited to attend an important discussion on understanding violent extremism and its impact on our community.
🗓 Monday, June 1
⏰ 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

This forum will address the growing concerns surrounding online extremist groups, including the group known as “764,” and how vulnerable youth can be targeted through online spaces that promote manipulation, self-harm, violence, and dangerous behavior.
Featured speakers include:
▪️ Evan Allard, Director of the Connecticut Intelligence Center
▪️ Trooper First Class James White
Topics will include:
✔️ The history and operation of the 764 group
✔️ Warning signs parents and caregivers should recognize
✔️ How families can help keep children and teens safe online
This is an important opportunity to learn more about online safety, youth protection, and community awareness in today’s digital world.
 

Bell City Broncos Pop Warner Football
The Bell City Broncos Youth Football Fall Tackle Football Program is designed for athletes ages 5–13 looking to develop their skills in a structured, competitive, and supportive environment.

Who: Youth athletes ages 5–13
What: Fall tackle football program focused on skill development and competition
When: Season begins July 14 (registration open now)
Where: Practices held in Bristol
Why: To build strong, disciplined football players while supporting youth development in the Bristol community

Bristol Education Foundation Trivia Night
November 6th @ 6:00 PM, Doubletree Hotel, 42 Century Drive, Bristol, CT 06010. Early Bird ticket price is $40 through June 30th. Ticket price includes buffet dinner and Hot Fingers Trivia. Proceeds from this event will benefit the BEF’s efforts to award Mini Grants to Bristol Public School teachers and to support innovative programs for students. Help us continue the mission of supporting the educational needs of Bristol’s scholars!
