Dear BPS Community,
Today, we celebrate an extraordinary group of young women who reminded us all what it means to dream big, work hard, persevere, and believe in one another.
While the final score was not the outcome we had hoped for, the Bristol Girls Little League 12U Softball Team has accomplished something truly remarkable. They were one of only 12 teams to earn a place in the Little League Softball World Series. That achievement alone is extraordinary, and they will forever be champions in the eyes of our community.
Girls, I hope you know just how incredibly proud we are of each and every one of you. You played with heart, represented Bristol with class, and showed the world what it means to be part of a team. You reminded us that success is measured not only by wins and losses, but by the courage to pursue a dream, the commitment to work hard every day, and the willingness to lift up your teammates along the way.
Over the past several weeks, you brought our entire community together. Families, neighbors, businesses, first responders, volunteers, and fans rallied behind you with unmatched Bristol pride. Thank you to everyone who attended games, supported fundraisers, cheered from home, shared words of encouragement on social media, and kept these incredible young athletes in your hearts. Your support meant so much.
To the coaches, thank you for your unwavering dedication. You have been exceptional leaders, mentors, and role models. You invested countless hours helping these girls grow not only as softball players but as confident, respectful, and resilient young people. Bristol is grateful for your leadership and commitment.
And finally, to our girls—thank you. Thank you for inspiring us. Thank you for representing Bristol with pride, humility, and sportsmanship. You have created memories that will last a lifetime and have shown every young person in our community what is possible through teamwork, perseverance, and belief in one another.
